Messier 82

Named after the starburst galaxy, Messier 82 is a four-track EP that leans into groove and space-rock. The entire album — composition, recording, and upload — was completed in a two-week burst over the 2016 Christmas holidays in Adelaide. "Space Boogie" and "Quantum Groove" bring a funky, rhythmic energy to the guitar work, while "Nebulous Nebula" drifts into spacier, more atmospheric territory. The title track ties it together — cosmic rock guitar with a sense of adventure. The most rhythmically driven album in the catalog, and proof of what happens when you give a guitarist a fortnight off.
